Jakarta – PT PGAS Solution (PGN Solution) is officially the part of the Joint Study Geothermal Center of Excellence organized by PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk. (PGE), through Joint Study Agreement (JSA) signing on Thursday (27/6).

Taking place in the Grha Pertamina Ballroom, Central Jakarta, this event was also attended by directors and staff from Sub Holding companies within the JSA scope such as PT Pertamina Geothermal Energy Tbk., PT Elnusa Tbk. (Elnusa), PT Pertamina Maintenance & Construction, and PT PGAS Solution.

This joint study will be held in order to increase the portfolio and competence of each Pertamina Sub Holding company in technical, financial and commercial, legal aspects, risk mapping related to the exploitation and utilization of geothermal energy. Some of the studies that will be explored are: Heat Exchanger Manufacturer, Geothermal Operation & Maintenance, Cooling Tower Manufacturer, dan EPCC Power Plant & Piping Construction. PGN Solution was part of the study as a representative of Sub Holding Gas to support Pertamina Group's synergy in utilizing geothermal energy.

CEO of Pertamina New and Renewable Energy Sub Holding, John Anis conveyed the huge potential of geothermal energy as an energy alternative and Pertamina's future business. "Indonesia is blessed with geothermal, this can be used as based load. I see this could be a strategy for our country, and for Pertamina. 100 years of wells geothermal it's still relatively easy. Meanwhile, the wells upstream may take only 2-3 years to run out. "This means that the potential is extraordinary, and can become Pertamina's mainstay alternative for future business." he said.
