Boyolali – Pertamina Gas Subholding
through its subsidiary PT PGAS Solution (PGN Solution) together with PT
Pertamina Patra Niaga carried out First Welding of the Pengapon - Boyolali Oil
Pipeline Project for energy supply in Central Java. The first welding was
carried out at KP 02 Pipanisasi Pengapon Boyolali, Central Java on Thursday
(12/10/2023). At the first welding were present the Regent of Boyolali,
Director of Technology & Infrastructure PGN, Director of Infrastructure
Pertamina Patra Niaga, Main Director of PGN Solution, Director of Engineering
and Development of PGN Solution, Boyolali Police Chief, Boyolali Dandim and
Head of Boyolali District Prosecutor's Office.
Assistant 2 for Economics and
Development, Insan Adi Asmono, representing the Regent of Boyolali welcomed the
construction of the Pengapon - Boyolali oil pipeline and hoped that it would
benefit the community. "The hope is that this project can run smoothly so
that fuel stocks can be guaranteed and can be of benefit to the community,
especially in Boyolali. Hopefully there will be no obstacles in implementing
this development. In principle, the Boyolali Regional Government fully supports
every National Strategic Project running in its area." said Insan Adi
Asmono.
The construction of a steel pipe
measuring ± 81.5 kilometers long with a diameter of 12 inches will be used for
energy continuity in the Central Java region through the distribution of fuel
oil (BBM) such as Premium, Solar, Pertamax, from the Integrated Terminal
Semarang Group (Pengapon) to the Boyolali Fuel Terminal .
"We appreciate PGN Solution
for implementing capabilities in terms of energy infrastructure construction.
We hope that pipe reliability will always be prioritized, because this pipe is
to meet the fuel needs in Boyolali. "Collaboration with Pertamina Patra
Niaga is also a form of synergy between Pertamina Subholdings and this must be
improved in the future," said PGN's Director of Infrastructure and
Technology, Achmad Muchtasyar.
He hopes that the fuel pipeline
built by PGN Solution will help to accommodate safe fuel stocks for the people
of Boyolali. This oil pipeline project is a pipeline to distribute fuel
products which can reduce distribution costs and is a real effort to implement
Environmental Social Governance (ESG) in helping reduce carbon emissions, where
previously fuel distribution used ships and trucks.
"The Pengapon Boyolali
Pipeline Project intends to install a pipeline to distribute fuel products, so
as to maintain the resilience of fuel stocks and prevent potential supply
failures, especially for gasoline products in the Central Java region. We hope
that this development can run smoothly so that it can immediately be used to
fulfill energy needs in the Central Java region." added Pertamina Patra
Niaga Infrastructure Director, Edward Adolf Kawi.
Sabaruddin, Main Director of PGN
Solution, said that the construction of the pipeline from Pengapon to Boyolali
will cross several areas, including Semarang Regency, Mranggen to Kedoya
Semarang. "PGN Solution will be committed to supporting Pertamina Patra
Niaga in energy supply in Central Java by building pipeline infrastructure
which is expected to run on time, on budget and on quality and fulfill safety,
social and environmental sustainability aspects," continued Sabaruddin.
In the construction of this pipe,
apart from the engineering and technical aspects that must be prepared, PGN
Solution also focuses on social and licensing aspects through coordination with
other stakeholders in the areas that are the development route. "With
First Welding, of course we expect full support from all stakeholders, so that
all stages of the pipeline construction process can run well and smoothly, so
that it can immediately be used to fulfill energy needs in the Central Java
region," concluded Sabaruddin.
