Dumai - PT PGAS Solution (PGN Solution) Riau Area held an Operation & Maintenance Training Workshop for Gas Distribution & Build Operate Transfer 2019 – 2024 by inviting PT Semen Padang on Thursday, February 22 2024. This activity was held to fulfill PGN Solution's obligations as project implementer Build, Operate, and Transfer (BOT) pre-handover of contract and asset completion.

Taking place in the Ballroom of the Grand Zuri Hotel, Dumai City, this event was also attended by the Head of Project Operations for the Riau Area Nova Kristian who is also the Project Manager for the Semen Padang BOT project, all representatives of PT Semen Padang, several members of the Business Development & Risk Management Team, as well as members of the Implementation team PGN Solution Operations Project.

One of the series of activities at this event was a review of the condition of the infrastructure network for natural gas distribution facilities in the PT Semen Padang Dumai area by both parties. This was done in order to ensure the security and reliability of the infrastructure which has also become a symbol of the continuous synergy between PGN Solution and Semen Padang, which has been established for almost 5 years.

The Semen Padang BOT project itself includes the construction of natural gas distribution networks & facilities, as well as the operation and maintenance of burner equipment for operational use in processing cement raw materials produced by PT Semen Padang Mill Dumai.

The BOT scheme is one form of PGN Solution's work in helping to spread the benefits of natural gas. Various conveniences in aspects of natural gas infrastructure development are presented to increase interest among potential PGN customers to utilize natural gas which is more environmentally friendly and able to reduce subsidies for the use of imported fuel and LPG.
